Grand Canyon Helicopter Elopement

Grand Canyon helicopter elopement

Will & Brianna are college sweethearts. When they reached out to me, they knew right away that when it came to planning their elopement, they didn’t want just a traditional wedding day. They wanted an experience. What better way to share an elopement experience with your loved ones, then with a helicopter ride together through the Grand Canyon!

Maverick Helicopters is one of the most popular helicopter companies in the Las Vegas area, and they have various elopement and intimate wedding day packages. They do rides through the Grand Canyon, Valley of Fire, Red Rock, Las Vegas, and even Hawaii! Will & Brianna chose the Grand Canyon because it’s a place that none of them had been before, so they knew it would make the experience even more memorable.

I really love the way that this elopement showcases how you can get married in a meaningful way, with a little bit of adventure, in a beautiful place, with the ones you love by your side. If you’re stumped about what to include in your own wedding day, why not add in something adventurous like a helicopter ride? Or a hot air balloon ride? Other ideas could include a kayaking excursion, off-roading fun, a safari tour and so much more.

This elopement was memorable for me, because it was also my first time in a helicopter! I’m so glad that my job allows me to have experiences like this and that I could share it with such a fun and laid-back group of people. One of the highlights of the day was just watching everyone take in the Grand Canyon for the first time – all smiles and snapping photos of each other. This is often my favorite part when it comes to wedding days, in a place the couple has never been before.

If you’re wanting to elope in the Las Vegas area and aren’t sure where to start, check out my elopement guide for a full rundown about how to plan your elopement in Las Vegas. If you are interested in other areas like Olympic National Park, Glacier National Park, Yosemite National Park, Big Sur, Oregon, or Hawaii, you can view those guides here.

With every elopement that I photograph, I fall more and more in love with them. I’m able to really connect with couples and get to know them. I get to help them plan the wedding day of their dreams. Eloping is so much more intimate and romantic. I could go on and on. If you’re on the fence about eloping or if you’re completely stumped on where to start, fill out my contact form and let’s talk. We can co-create a meaningful experience… together.
