Josh + Gio had to postpone their original wedding for the end of 2021, when COVID-19 flipped the world upside-down in 2020. While they were disappointed, they decided to announce to everyone the change in their wedding plans with a photo session, on what would have been their original date. I couldn’t have thought of a better idea myself!
They decided they wanted to style their session as a bridal session, which gave Gio the chance to still wear a wedding dress out in 2020. She got her hair and makeup done in full glam! She even had a beautiful, custom bouquet made with a coordinating floral touch for her hat. She really is a visionary!
I loved meeting Josh + Gio and I loved that I was able to help them turn a sour situation into an adventurous memory that they can cherish on their actual wedding day later next year, and for many years to come. I feel for all of the couples impacted by the pandemic, but it has truly been incredible to see how couples have turned a negative situation into a positive and how they have come together as a couple to still find a way to make their original dates meaningful.
