Morning Fog & Greenhouses
We woke up at 5am on a Sunday morning to drive to our photo shoot location. The morning’s drive was in darkness because we wanted to catch the sunrise. It was a quite and easy drive that took a little over an hour, from where we were staying, to get to. Once we arrived, I couldn’t have been more memorized and drawn to the mystical views.
We arrived around 7:15am with sunrise beginning just a few minutes later. I had never been to this location before, but it was a greenhouse/nursery that was tucked away in the woods, off of the main road. As soon as we stepped out of the car, we were greeted by the local cat guard - Arlo. He definitely made us feel welcome. I began the morning just exploring the area and taking in the woods. The morning fog was nestled in the trees and it was quiet.
You couldn’t actually witness the sunrise due to the thick fog and trees, but I was even happier with how the morning turned out than I expected. The quiet woods immersed by the fog created a fantasy world that was far more interesting. Even walking through the isles of the nursery, we discovered a hobit hole! This just made the fantasy all the more real.
My husband played with Arlo and smelled the flowers while Ana, Gerardo, and myself began our own exploration. There were rows of greenhouses, each one with its own variety of flowers + plants. I was so happy we arrived first thing in the morning, because we had the place all to ourselves outside of the occasional staff associate.
The session was everything I could have dreamed of, and more. After we finished, we drove through the nearby port town and had breakfast. It was a perfect way to start the day. I hope you are equally as mesmerized as I was.
